At Optics and Photonics 2022, we plan on revealing our cloud software (KostaCLOUD) for the next generation of Optical Design for Lens Design and Illumination Design.
Simon Tsaoussis will give a talk on Optimization of thermal stresses in plastic molds for corrective gradient index (GRIN) optics within a lens design. The abstract can be found here. In this talk Simon discusses the integral role in which KostaCLOUD plays in working with large datasets for plastic molded optics. He also discusses data import of measured or simulated Gradient Index data, and how you can use KostaCLOUD to search through a digital solution space of potential Gradient Index profiles to find the best one for your task.
Hossein Alisafaee will give several talks at the Optics and Photonics 2022 and one of his talks is: Monomer-based spectrometer. The abstract can be found here. In this talk Dr. Alisafaee describes the design process and design methodology of developing a spectrometer with KostaCLOUD, and how Advanced Global Optimization technologies in KostaCLOUD allow for more in depth optimization, searching through design spaces which generally are not accessible.
Simon Tsaoussis will give a presentation at the Illumination Event on Monday August 22, 2022, titled: Many-Core, Multi-Computer Optimization of Illumination Optics: Trace up to Billions of Rays per Second. The event is located at the Marriott Marquis Marina Ballroom E from 8PM-10PM and more information can be found here. Here Simon will discuss a variety of topics in Illumination and showcase a few traces and examples with KostaCLOUD.
