As many of you know, we founded KostaCLOUD because we are passionate not only about optics, but the future of cloud computing. With no other optics program designed for the cloud available, we decided to build one! Now, after almost 3 years of programming and testing, we are nearly ready to launch!
KostaCLOUD is a startup company without the billions of dollars of backing that the legacy companies that are out there have. We are self-funded and are very aware of the risks and rewards associated with generating a completely new cloud-based optical design tool from the ground up. We have designed and built our own data center, eliminating the control and costs associated with existing centers, and have designed the program to maximize the power of cloud computing.
Funds generated through this “KostaCrowdfunding” type approach will allow us to expand the data center, add more server redundancy, and allow us to measure demand on the system. Subsequently, we will be adding another data center towards the west coast to ensure minimal latencies. We need your support to create THE premier cloud-based optical design tool.
